A delightful ancient stone thatched cottage which has been tastefully modernised to give spacious accommodation of great character with many exposed beams. Downstairs there is a large open plan living area with log burner and a separate kitchen and bathroom, while upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms which have recently been updated with beautiful white Egyptian-cotton bed linen and furnishings.

Outside is a fenced sunny garden with lawn and terrace edged with shrubs and BBQ. Parking for one small/medium car. Nearest shop is one mile; nearest pub 200 yards. Stable Cottage sleeps 4 plus a cot and is off a lane from the village green in the small rural village of East Chaldon.

From the cottage one can walk straight onto the footpath to the coastal path lining the spectacular World Heritage coast.

There is WIFI internet access at Stable Cottage at no extra charge

Interior description: Rear entrance to:

Hall with cupboard for coats etc.

Lounge large open plan room with ceiling beams. The lounge incorporates a living area with large sofa, chairs and hi-fi, Television with DVD and video player and a large inglenook fireplace with log burner. There is also a dining area with a round dining table and chairs which comfortably seats 4-6 adults.

Kitchen/Dining Room: in former stable, features a separate grill, oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge & freezer. There is a wooden kitchen table and chairs in the centre of the kitchen. A high chair is also available.

Bathroom with roll top bath and shower overhead, basin and toilet.

Upstairs: 2 staircases (one steep) leading to 2 bedrooms which have an adjoining landing connecting the 2 bedrooms.

Master bedroom a spacious double with a large 5ft bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Second bedroom a twin (or double bed) with wardrobe. There is a seating area in each bedroom. All beds feature high quality Egyptian white cotton bed-linen.

Garden: a sunny fenced garden with grass lawn and patio surrounded by shrubs. The garden features a gas BBQ and garden furniture seating 4 people.

Night storage heating and log burner with basket of logs supplied. Changeover day is Friday. Rent includes electricity, oil and calor gas services, soft cotton towels and Egyptian cotton white bed linen.

Dogs are permitted at a small extra charge.

Change-over day:    FRIDAY

Your arrival time:    FROM 5:00 pm.

Departure time:       BEFORE 12:00 pm.

Cottages are cleaned between each let and inspected regularly. Please help us maintain high standards by leaving the property clean and tidy.

Booking information:

Cottage is available for renting by the week with the change-over on Friday. Change-over days vary for short breaks. First payment is 50% of total rent plus dog fee (£15 each) if applicable. Linen is included. Final payment is due eight weeks prior to holiday. Full payment is required if booking is made within eight weeks of holiday.

Cancellation:

If you cancel your booking during the two months prior to your holiday check-in date, your deposit - less £60 per week - will be refunded.

If you cancel your booking during the two months prior to your holiday check-in date (and the cottage is not re-let) your rent will not be refunded.
